Exhibition Submission - Terms and Conditions

Thank you for your interest in submitting your artworks for consideration in our art exhibition. Before proceeding with your submission, please  review the following terms and conditions:

Please carefully read, understand and agree to the terms and conditions before participating in this call-out. If there are any concerns or uncertainties, please contact The Churn Room for clarification.

 

ELIGIBILITY

The exhibition is open to artists 18 years and over

 

SELECTION OF ARTWORKS

Artwork submissions must use the online form and include relevant details as requested. 

Artworks will be selected by The Churn Room based upon suitability of the work and connection to the theme if a theme is applied. 

The exhibiting space is in the Art Nook upstairs in the Churn Room mezzanine which is suitable to 2 and 3 dimensional works. 

Artists will be notified of selection by email.

Upon selection confirmation, payment for entry or entries will be required

 

MEDIUM

2D, 3D artworks in variety of media are welcome.

 

Note:  Artists should protect their works with appropriate framing or other protections as necessary.  The Churn Room does not take responsibility for work that is damaged while on display when the necessary precautions have not been taken into consideration.

 

CRITERIA AND SIZING

  • Artworks must be the original of submitting artist

  • Artworks must be available for sale

  • Artworks must be presented in a condition appropriate for sale

  • Artwork sizing must be noted in the submission application

 

KEY DATES 

  • Entries close: 7th July - Submit images and details in the form below

  • Notifications of acceptance: by 10th July

  • Works delivered in person - 21/22 July

  • Exhibition opening: Thursday 1st August

  • Exhibition Open Event: all artists are invited to attend - 3rd August 6pm - 7pm

  • Exhibition closing: Saturday 31 August

  • Unsold Works collected by Saturday 7th September 

  • Art Auction Soiree (ticketed event) 31st August

 

COSTS

25% commission of sale donated to the fundraiser (in this case you will receive payment for your work less the commission

Sale of work fully donated to the fundraising exhibition and/or art auction​​

NOTE: Up to THREE PIECES may be submitted for the month long exhibition. 

To submit pieces for the 31st Art Auction please complete a second submission form.

ARTWORK DELIVERY & COLLECTION

Please make a note of the dates advertised and appropriate to the exhibition.

Drop off in Person Only as per dates - please refer to exhibition information
Pick up any unsold works in person - please refer to exhibition information. 

 


COPYRIGHT AND PHOTOGRAPHY PERMISSIONS

Artwork must be original and not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights of others. 

The Churn Room will request permission from the Artist to reproduce the work for promotional purposes only

 

PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION

The exhibition artwork and artists will be promoted, through social media, press releases, in store promotions, other media where available. 

 

LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

Artists are responsible for their submissions and The Churn Room is not liable for any damages or legal claims related to the artwork.

 

DISQUALIFICATION

Art work that is identified as plagiarism, violating the rules, or inappropriate content will be disqualified.

 

MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION

The Churn Room reserves the right to modify the call-out terms or cancel the call-out at any time.

 

 

ARTWORK CONDITION

Artworks must be in saleable condition and ready for display. Any damaged or incomplete artworks will not be considered for the exhibition.

 

CURATION:  The Churn Room reserves the right to determine the positioning and display of selected artworks within the exhibition space.   Artists can request any specific display requirements.
